TV UPGRADE To Smart TVs With A Streaming Option
Blue Door Properties is in the process of upgrading TV viewing. Currently at the Cottage and the Blue Door Inn we offer guests a TV with a DVD player, but we are changing to "smart" TVs with a live stream option. First installation is the Cottage ... we have to make sure our internet/broadband connection can handle multiple guests streaming their favorite shows & events at the same time. T

We chose FireTV as our streaming option and currently offer Amazon Prime, Hulu, Netflix and Sling to our guests at no charge. You can also log in with your own streaming subscription and watch your favorites too.

BUILDING THE TEAM | March's Project At Blue Door Properties

Committed to building a team to support and serve our guests. Paying a "Living Wage".

In 2012 when renovations first started on my historic property (now the Blue Door Inn) the prevailing wage for a "helper" was $8 an hour. My workers were paid $10 an hour and I was accused of "upsetting the whole economic balance of the valley". My belief was $10 an hour translated to $20,000 a year ... that was the minimum I would pay.

Blue Door is a small local business with little profit but we continue to work towards paying folks a "living wage". Proud to announce that we will be paying $15 an hour in 2021!

May-October, part-time housekeeper
April-October, part-time gardener, groundskeeper, handy person
