Bring a vehicle you’re proud of or just come check out the lineup! Mule’s Ear Motor Club is hosting three themed Sundays at the Almont Resort. There’s no registration, entry fee or purchase required. Spectators, enthusiasts and curious looky-loos are always welcome.

Imports, exotics and performance vehicles
For our First Lap on September 6, participating vehicles can be professionally photographed, with finished photos available afterward. We’ll also be giving away Mule’s Ear Motor Club stickers.

Next up in the Headwaters Summer Concert Series: Empathy Protocol ⚡

Gunnison-based original psychedelic rock quartet Empathy Protocol is headed to the Almont Resort on Saturday, September 12!

Known for rowdy jams, introspective and powerful lyrics, epic vocals, and real-time improvisation, Empathy Protocol brings an unpredictable energy to the stage that makes every performance its own experience. The band features local musicians Julian Young on vocals and keys, Nick Diones on guitar and vocals, Tobias Jeffus on drums, and Sam Pitman holding it down on bass.

Mathilde Mae opens the night before Empathy Protocol takes over for a full two-hour set.

Mule’s Ear Bakery is officially open!
At the heart of it all is Head Baker Lyndi Cuellar, a Colorado native whose career includes more than a decade at the Hotel Jerome and time in San Francisco’s vibrant food scene. After calling the Gunnison Valley home for the past two years, Lyndi is bringing her thoughtful, home-style approach to Almont, with familiar favorites made from scratch and with plenty of love.
Stop in for fresh pastries, house-made sourdough, buttermilk biscuit sandwiches, coffee, lunch, pizza by the slice, soft serve and plenty more. The bakery is open daily from 7 AM–3 PM, with the market open until 9 PM for snacks, drinks and everyday essentials. Come say hello and see what Lyndi and the team have been working on!

The Galentines return to the Gunnison Valley for the final show of their summer tour, joined by Gunnison’s own Tiger Electric!
Boulder’s The Galentines blend stunning harmonies and epic instrumental solos with the influence of classic rock bands like Fleetwood Mac and Pink Floyd, all while maintaining a sharp punk edge and biting lyricism. Featuring Crested Butte natives and sisters Essie and Linda Horne, this show marks both a homecoming and the closing night of the band’s two-month tour.
Tiger Electric opens with an unforgettable, high-energy blend of garage rock, punk and indie pop powered by vocals, drums, bass and their signature electric ukulele.

Foot Stompin’ Fridays kicks off this Friday at Almont Resort, bringing free country, bluegrass, and Americana music to Almont all summer long.

Don’t worry, Fish Fry Friday isn’t going anywhere. We’re just adding a live soundtrack to it.

We’re kicking things off with Dad Grass this Friday, followed by a summer of some of our favorite local and regional artists.

Rain or shine. No cover. Just good music, cold drinks, and summer evenings in Almont.
