The cabin is 3 bedrooms. A main bedroom on the ground floor and 2 bedrooms up. The bedroom upstairs that faces the lake has small balcony that over looks the lake and a king size bed. The other upstairs bedroom has 2 queen size beds. The main floor bedroom has a queen size bed. The living room couch has a pullout bed. The large lake side deck overlooks protected Whitefish Bay for beautiful sunrises and moonscapes. Lake Superior/Whitefish Bay is across the road. The shoreline is stone but the lake bottom is fantastic sand, safe, and shallow for kids or relaxing in the cool water. The property is less than 2.5 miles from state snowmobile trails in both directions. The ATV trail head is less than 2.5 miles from the cabin but ATVs are allowed on Chippewa County Rds as far as Paradise. From Paradise you will have to go transition to ATV trails. Whitefish Point is just 9 miles away and includes a lighthouse and museum dedicated to shipping on the Great Lakes and has a large collection of items related to the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald in 1975. Whitefish point is a birders destination to see both migratory birds as well as shore birds such as the protected Piping Plover. Lake Superiors shoreline from Whitefish Point west is also well know for rock hounds searching for agates, Yooperites, and other beautiful stones. Tahquamenon Falls State Park is 13 miles away. The state park is also a fantastic base for many hiking trails including the North Country Trail which passes within 7 miles of the cabin. The DNR boat launch to Whitefish Bay and the Tahquamenon River is just over 7 miles away for all your fishing needs both inland and in the big water as well as a deep water Lake Superior launch 7 miles the other direction. For kayaking and paddleboarding there is Lake Superior, Tahquamenon River, and various other smaller lakes and rivers within a few miles. The property adjoins 10s of 1000s of acres of state land for hunting as well. Summer season is $300 a night. Off season is $275 a night.

Great North Vacations will have a booth at the Up North Lake and Cottage Show in Traverse City April 8th thru 10th. These events allow us to have face to face interactions with exactly our target audience. Instead of buyers reading an email or a web page and clicking thru photos we get to immediately answer questions and address concerns. We get to highlight our properties and put them right in the hands of ready to go travelers. This can be very helpful with travelers who may not have decided what lake they wish to be on or area they wish to be in. We would like to market your property here as well. If you have any questions please call, email, or text at your earliest convenience. Even though this is a smaller event, this is a very focused audience for our properties.

We have a potential new property coming available! On Clam Lake with boating access to Torch Lake, Lake Bellaire, Lake Skegemog, and Elk Lake. Torch Lake is only about a 15 minute boat ride. Located in Bellaire this rental will have sleeping for 10, is right on the water, and has a beautiful up north warm and comfortable feeling. We expect it to be available by the end of April.

We have a lot of openings yet this winter for the Lost Lake Lodge in Hawks MI. 4 bedrooms, 3 baths. Bed space for 14 people. Hawks is a quiet area with a lot of recreational opportunities within an easy drive. Snowmobile trails in every direction, cross country skiing at Ocqueoc Falls and Black Mountain, many snow shoe/hiking options, ice fishing out the front door or on neighboring lakes. Or you can just relax in front of the fireplace and take in the views.

Jan 1st to Feb 28th $210 a night.
Mar 1st to May 14th $160 a night.

3 night minimum stay. $50 per stay housekeeping fee.

Here are the available dates for this season at the large Lake Avalon house in Hillman.

This large home provides a sandy lake bottom on beautiful all sport Lake Avalon with sunrise views across the lake. Lake Avalon is often in referred to as one of the most beautiful lakes in Michigan. The lake is an all sport lake and has a DNR boat launch. This property provides a dock for your use while you stay. The lake is crystal clear, 70+ feet deep, and has a beautiful blue-green color. The lake has a great splake population as well as perch, panfish, and other trout. Skiing, tubing, paddleboarding, snorkeling, and kayaking all very popular on this lake.
