May 29th 2021, marks the 10 year anniversary of the start of the Wallow Fire near the area of Hannagan Meadow. Sadly, the known cause of this fire was due to the carelessness of campers leaving their camp fire unattended. In the end, this fire consumed over 538,000 acres of beautiful forest lands in the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest leaving a scar upon this land for many years to come.
Today serves as a reminder for us all to
please be careful while out enjoying “Our” National Forests. For we are all stewards of this land.

The 2021 season has arrived. Meadows Edge Cabins will be opening April 16 for business. Dennison and I completed the remodel of the middle cabin last December, so I’m excited for its debut this season. Take a look! I hope you’ll like it too.
Holiday weekend reservations are filling fast. So, if you’re thinking about a visit to Alpine make your reservations early.

Its official, Meadows Edge Cabins has closed for this 2020 season.
This year was, without a doubt, the most challenging year to date to be in the Cabin Rental Business. With the COVID-19 challenges to be met and conquered. The difficulties of finding and purchasing of cleaning supplies. So much gratitude to those of you that assisted with the toilet paper shortage situation. You stepped up to the challenge, when I was at my wits end as to where I would locate and purchase this illusive commodity. Many, many thanks.
This year saw moments of tears shed for both shared joy and deep heartache. May you RIP Jim.
Yet despite the challenges, I am forever grateful for each of you for the opportunity to serve you. To create new friendships, and to refresh old and treasured ones.
For you, it is my greatest wish that the approaching New Year brings to you His blessings of good health and well being.
Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year.

It is always a pleasure and a special treat to observe these beautiful majestic birds!
This Eagle was just behind our home on the ground for quite some time this morning. Dennison and I enjoyed watching it from afar taking care to not disturb it. When it finally took flight, it flew just above us. Amazing wing span!
