With the 2026-2027 Season quickly approaching, we thought it might be time for a little snow history lesson.⛷️❤️

Using data from our friends at Ski Utah , we compared the last three winters of snowfall and base depth at Alta Ski Area and Park City Mountain.

The short version: both mountains get snow, and one of them gets a lot of it. Three winters is a small sample, but it’s a useful one.

Alta is set to open November 20 ❄️

It’s feeling like a winter wonderland here in Alta, but Park City is still looking a little behind 👀❄️❤️

If you’re driving up LCC, be prepared for winter weather road conditions. If you’re heading up the I-80, make sure to pack your sunglasses and shorts 😎
