Some houses have a way of holding on to love. 🤍

These treasured photographs, shared with us by the family, tell a little of the Franks house’s story. Mary Alice celebrated her wedding reception here, and so did her daughter, Laurel. Through the years, these rooms have held so many happy gatherings and memories.

Today, as we consider opening H.D. Franks Guesthouse as a micro wedding venue, we imagine intimate ceremonies, romantic receptions, and the people you love gathered in a home already filled with history and heart.

Old memories treasured. New love stories waiting to unfold.

Sometimes the best therapy doesn’t come with an appointment. 🌿

It comes in the sound of the river…
the quiet of the trees…
fresh Ozark air…
and a little time away from the noise of everyday life.

Here in the beautiful Ozarks, nature has a way of slowing us down and reminding us to simply breathe.

And when the day is done, let that same sense of peace follow you back to Harmony Suite at the H.D. Franks Guesthouse — a quiet, comfortable place to rest, unwind, and enjoy the slower pace of our little corner of the world.

Come for the beauty.
Stay for the peace.
Leave a little more refreshed than when you arrived. 🤍

H.D. Franks Guesthouse • Alton, Missouri
Where history, hospitality, and the beauty of the Ozarks come together.
