Great hospitality is often about what 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔𝒏'𝒕 happen. A guest 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔𝒏'𝒕 have to ask for fresh towels because they're already there. They don't have to wonder where to park because someone explained it at check-in. They don't have to track someone down when they need help because our team is paying attention.

We spend a lot of time welcoming Route 66 travelers to Amarillo, but sometimes it's fun to be the travelers! Last year, our owners Kevin and Ginger hit the Mother Road themselves, driving Route 66 from Amarillo all the way to Chicago. That experience made this year's 100th anniversary even more special and gave Kevin the chance to reflect on what makes this road so unique in a recent article from AAHOA.

"The reason why people got their kicks on Route 66 is because it's interesting, and much of the fabric, the things that people saw 100 years ago, you can still see."

We love being part of that story. Four of our hotels sit right off Historic Route 66 in Amarillo, and every day, we get to meet people from across the country and around the world who are out there getting their kicks. We just love what we do! 😄

THANK YOU! We just wanted to give our entire team a shoutout and thank them for all their hard work over the last few months. The summer travel season, combined with some compression in the markets we serve, made for a very busy few months. Our Courtyard by Marriott Amarillo Downtown is one of the most unique hotels in our portfolio. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of America's Mother Road, we gave one of our Amarillo billboards a Route 66 makeover. You can spot it just off I-40 near our My Place Hotel.
