Anderson where? 😜

Most Texans have never heard of Anderson, Texas. 🤠

But this tiny town of fewer than 200 people is one of the oldest county seats in the entire state, and it has been the seat of Grimes County since 1846, just one year after Texas joined the Union.

At its peak, Anderson was a thriving stop on the old stagecoach route, a hub of commerce, politics, and frontier life in the heart of Texas. Today, the 1891 courthouse still stands over a nearly silent town square, surrounded by live oaks and the kind of quiet that makes you feel like you've stepped back 150 years.

Some places grow into cities. Anderson chose to stay itself. And honestly? There's something beautiful about that. 🌿
