Over the years, one thing has stood out as we’ve read through reviews from guests who stayed at Bear Necessities Lodge.

While every trip is different, many of the same experiences appear again and again.

Wildlife wandering through the property. Family game nights. Peaceful mornings on the deck. Cozy evenings in the mountains. Time spent reconnecting with the people who matter most.

Rain showers over the weekend and today have provided much-needed moisture to the mountains. Summer’s newest arrivals are starting to appear in the mountains.

This was our first elk calf sighting of the summer, captured on May 27 near the ski mountain.

Early summer is one of our favorite times of year as elk calves, fawns, and other young wildlife begin making their first appearances throughout the mountains.
