Cool mountain evenings just got a little cozier at Bear Necessities Lodge.

After a day exploring Angel Fire, there’s something hard to beat about relaxing beside a glowing fire in the mountains.

We recently added a blower to the wood stove to help circulate warmth more comfortably through the living room and kitchen area.

We’ve made a few updates to the kitchen at Bear Necessities Lodge as we head into summer in the mountains.

Whether it’s coffee before a morning hike, breakfast before the bike park, or a family meal after a day exploring Angel Fire, the kitchen is designed to feel comfortable and practical for real vacation living.

From cookware and baking essentials to small appliances and kitchen tools, we try to stock the space with the things guests actually use so mountain stays feel a little more like home.

Summer is in full swing in Angel Fire, and outdoor adventures are happening all across the mountains.

Spend your days hiking, mountain biking, zip lining, or playing disc golf at the top of the mountain. Relax at Monte Verde Lake with fishing, boating, and paddleboarding, or enjoy tennis, pickleball, scenic chairlift rides, and horseback riding throughout the season.

Texas is already hitting triple digits, but it’s still cool and comfortable in the mountains of Angel Fire. We felt the 30° difference the moment we left and headed home to Texas.
