Friends & Family Weekend is back at Happy Acres, and this tradition deserves a spot on your calendar!

We’ve got the Happy Acres Amazing Race planned for Saturday afternoon, followed by a Campfire Concert with Los Electro that evening. In between? Time to catch up, relax, and enjoy being together.

Whether you’ve made this your yearly gathering or you’re joining us for the first time, we’d love to have you here.

Same Happy Acres tradition. A new weekend—and a little name change!

Our Annual Cinco de Mayo celebration is moving to May 14–16, 2027. Since we’ll be celebrating on May 15, we’re calling it QUINCE de Mayo. We couldn’t let a good tradition go just because the calendar wasn’t cooperating!

It’s part of our Season Opening Celebration weekend, so get your camping crew together and put these dates on your calendar.

And yes, the campground still opens April 30. We’re just saving this celebration for a couple of weeks later!

IT’S HALLOWEEN WEEKEND AT HAPPY ACRES!

The pumpkins are out, the campground is getting spooky, and Alice is waiting…

We’ve still got room for a few more campers who want to join the fun THIS weekend!

Haunted hayrides, trick-or-treating, pumpkin carving, campfires and a whole lot of Halloween fun.

CAMPGROUND ETIQUETTE

Ohhhh campers. We have another one.

You pull into the campground, find your campsite and discover that the campers next door have been using it as their bonus campsite.

Maybe their truck is parked there. Golf carts are sitting there. Co****le boards are set up. Chairs have migrated over.

Apparently nobody was camping there yet, so… free real estate?

Now YOU get to pull in and say:

“Hi. Umm… this is actually our campsite.”

So let’s settle it:

Is an empty campsite fair game until somebody shows up?

Or does your campsite end at your campsite — occupied or not?

And more importantly…

Have you ever arrived to find somebody already using YOUR site?

Remember — we’re talking campground etiquette in general, not Happy Acres rules.

This THROWBACK is still one of our favorite Halloween videos…

Apparently Kevin and I were pretty easy to replace.

They had the glasses.
They had the hat.
They were promoting Halloween Weekend.

There was just one little problem…

We wanted our stuff back.

And since we’re talking Halloween…

Well… Oktoberfest was a GOOD time.

B**r. Brats. Great music. Great people. Lots of laughs. And one heck of a Saturday at Happy Acres.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made our Oktoberfest such a fun day — and to The 6 on James for keeping the party going and serving up the best German potato salad EVER!

We had a feeling this one was going to be fun… but you guys showed up.

Should Oktoberfest come back in 2027?
