Big fish. Big bragging rights. Even bigger conservation wins.

Congratulations to the 2026 Great Halibut Giveaway winners at Whalers Cove Lodge!

These three anglers put some serious halibut on the line this season:

🥇 Brian Mick — 77" | 244 lbs.
🥈 Greg Fritz — 72" | 196 lbs.
🥉 Peter Wheelwright — 70" | 179 lbs.

The best part? All three incredible fish are still swimming.

At Whalers Cove Lodge, our Great Halibut Giveaway rewards anglers who catch a truly exceptional halibut and make the choice to release it. These fish are too valuable to the future of the fishery to take home.
