The front desk clerk’s main responsibility is to ensure guest satisfaction. The front desk clerk is also responsible for maximizing room revenues in line with Country Inns & Suites By Radisson standards, by providing efficient and courteous front desk service.
Essential Functions
1. Assists all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, whenever possible going the extra mile and doing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction.
2. Greets/welcomes, registers, and processes guests promptly upon arrival and departure.
3. Acquires guest information for payment and personal information complete and accurate.
4. Demonstrates a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel, as well as the local area, and effectively assists guests.
5. Receives and processes telephone and walk-in reservations accurately to ensure guest satisfaction.
6. Wash and fold all laundry in the hotel in a timely, neat manner.
7. Acts as manager on duty in the absence of the general manager.
8. Understands and applies all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees and guests.
9. Check pool and spa using a test kit and inform CPO manager of issues.
10. Performs other duties as requested or required.

Qualification Standards
1. Ability to quickly learn front desk technical procedures such as: check-in, check-out, selling skills, computer operation, telephone operations, etc.
2. Ability to work well on multiple tasks at the same time.
3. Ability to be friendly and cheerful; interact easily with strangers.
4. Ability to cooperate with and support others as a team.
5. Ability to observe, react quickly and adjust to different guest situations.
6. Ability to cope with stress, showing self-control during excitement.
7. Ability for strong organizational skills and strong detail orientation.
8. Just in and help out as necessary to ensure the entire hotel works efficiently.
9. Grooming must meet property standards.
