Bed and Breakfast Front and center in the National Historic District, Flag House Inn is one of the largest private homes near the waterfront.

Originally two Victorian townhouses, Flag House was restored in the early 1990's, acquired on-site parking, and now combines the privacy of an inn with the friendliness of a bed and breakfast. The large front porch, flying the state or national flags of guests, greets you with swings and teak benches. The guest entrance opens onto splendid interiors filled with original naval and nautical art and

memorabilia, fine paintings, antiques, and reproductions. Flag House offers five welcoming and comfortable king or twin bed guest rooms, including a two-room suite, each with private bath and cable TV. Enjoy a large, hot breakfast before setting off for the day to explore this beautiful and historic neighborhood. Ours is a nonsmoking home.

It’s goodbye and hello - after an incredibly great time, we have sold the Flag House Inn. FHI will continue to be in great hands, the buyers are a hospitality group specializing in small luxury properties.

From the beginning we said it was a 4 to 7 year project for us as a second career and we have been successful beyond our wildest dreams. We have met so many great guests: USNA mids, parents and grads, Johnnies, “getaway from kids” couples, retirees, B&B lovers and people with many other reasons to visit Annapolis. They all arrived with one goal - to have a great experience in Annapolis.

We did our best to meet your needs, helped by so many great small business owners in town. The feedback from everyone during our run has been so overwhelmingly positive. We had no experience in hospitality, we just applied the advice of Acorn Marketing marketing and ThinkReservations and added our own creative flair - all with a lot of fun along the way.

But the best part was that we discovered Annapolis and we aren’t going far, we aim to stay near downtown! The new owners will introduce themselves in time, we have known them for several years and we are impressed by their vision for the guest experience.

What’s next for us? First getting settled into our new home and supporting Marty’s 90 yo mother. Some travel, projects, skiing, and more… all with friends and family. You can find both of us on social both FB and IG.

It’s been a great ride but we aren’t riding into any sunsets!

He’s basaaack! Mr Caesar Rodney of Delaware stopped by the Flag House Inn today on his way to meet fellow Declaration of Independence signer William Paca…

We then accompanied Mr Rodney to the William Paca Mansion and got a few more snaps before his meeting.

Like we always say, there is always something interesting and fun going in Annapolis!

We’re serving up comfort food this morning to recovering Induction Day families whose sons entered the United States Naval Academy yesterday. Hugs for some moms too 😍😍

That’s our veggie frittata, apple smoked sausage and everything bagel hash brown cups… garnished with thyme out of the Randall St farms (our urban garden 😎) and a bread and butter pickle chip. Not pictured: peach crumble bars & breakfast banana splits - sorry, state secret 😎😎)

It’s a lovely evening in Annapolis, lots of visitors in town for lacrosse 🥍 tournaments, water 💦 polo camp, rowing 🚣‍♀️ camp and more. And plebe families coming tomorrow as ‘26 kids start their journey later this week….
