❤️ A Personal Farewell Note from Cory & Carol ❤️
When we opened the Inn at Horn Point in March 2002, we thought we were starting a small, family operated B&B that we would try out for 5 years. What we didn't realize was that we were opening our home to thousands of people whose stories would become part of our own.
Now in our 25th year, and second location, we have had the pleasure of welcoming guests from around the world carrying wedding dresses, sailing gear, baby announcements, graduation plans, retirement dreams, and every kind of adventure imaginable. We've shared breakfasts, recommendations, laughter, and sometimes heartfelt conversations that lasted far longer than the coffee. Many guests returned year after year, and some became dear friends.
The Inn has shaped our lives in ways we never could have predicted. It has given us the joy of meeting people from different countries and cultures while staying rooted in the Annapolis community we love. It has allowed us to celebrate countless milestones alongside our guests, and it has filled our home with stories we will treasure forever.
After much reflection, we have decided that this year is the right time for us to begin our own next adventure: retirement.
Making this decision has not been easy. We love what we do. The Inn has never simply been a business—it has been where we raised our family, celebrated holidays, worked side by side, welcomed strangers who quickly became friends, and experienced a quarter century of unforgettable moments. Every room, every breakfast table conversation, every recommendation to explore Annapolis carries a memory for us.
As excited as we are for what lies ahead, it is impossible to say goodbye without feeling an enormous sense of GRATITUDE.
To every guest who chose to stay with us—whether it was for one night or your tenth visit—thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your vacations, anniversaries, reunions, USNA celebrations, weddings, babymoons, and quiet weekend getaways. Thank you for sharing your stories and allowing us to share a little of ours.
People often asked us if we ever grew tired of innkeeping. The answer was always no. Every new arrival brought another opportunity to meet someone interesting, learn something new, and be reminded how small and connected the world really is. That has been the greatest gift of all.
While the Inn at Horn Point will no longer have an open reservations calendar in November 2026, the memories we've made together will stay with us for the rest of our lives. We hope that when you think back on your time here, you'll remember not only a comfortable place to stay, but also the warmth, conversation, and sense of home that we always hoped to provide.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making the last 25 years so meaningful. You have given us far more than we could ever have given in return.
There is still time to visit us before we close this chapter in November. If you've been thinking about returning—or experiencing the Inn for the first time—we would love to welcome you one more time. We do hope our paths cross again someday. Until then, we wish you safe travels, new adventures, and every happiness.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Carol & Cory Bonney
