Arickaree FFA Chapter

Did you know a small group can make such a huge difference? Today the Arickaree FFA chapter mowed the Cope Cemetery in preparation for Labor Day. Though we may be “as small as small can be,” our students are carrying on the work this chapter once did with 40 members. A big thank you to those parents and grandparents that lended a helping hand in making sure all equipment was ready for this event.

Always proud of these kids — once again, it’s a good day to be a Bison. 🦬💚

Arickaree FFA - 2 Star National Chapter ⭐️⭐️
The National Chapter Award allows members to showcase the special parts of our communities and how well rounded our programs is.

Arickaree FFA will be represented by 2 members at the National FFA Convention where they will recieve this award. While we don’t know who they may be yet, these three individuals put in the heavy lifting in construction the application for this award…

Arickaree FFA’s Annual Cajun Broil is a little less than a month away! Be sure to swing by the school on Aug 28th @6:30 for some shrimp, crawfish, and corn on the cob 🦐. All eat free, but donations are appreciated.

In addition, our Elementary Teachers have a Movie Night planned for our students proceeding dinner 🎬 make sure you bring the whole family!

2026 Arickaree FFA Chapter Officer Retreat 🏕️
Our 2026-27 Arickaree FFA Officer Team took a trip out to Breckinridge for our Chapter Officer Retreat! We focused on setting our goals for the year, updating our schedule, and planning for our future FFA events. While we were there, a few of the members from the State FFA Officer Team joined us, those members being…

Our officer team got to participate in a few workshops they had prepared for us, focusing on communication and how every member of your team matters! As well as gaining some new thoughts and ideas from the state officers.

We also got to take a hike with them down to Isak Heartstone Troll where we took a group picture. Once the state officers departed, we walked over to downtown Breckenridge and went exploring for a few hours before heading to dinner at Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant. After dinner we went back to home watched a movie and discussed our goals for the chapter long into the night.

Overall, our officers had a great, productive and fun time at officer retreat and we can’t wait to share it with our school and community!

🎉🐐 2026 Eastern Colorado Roundup Market Goat Grand & Reserve Champion – Keith Page🏆

Congratulations to Keith Page, a recent graduate and proud member of the Arickaree FFA Chapter, on an unforgettable performance at the 2026 ECRU County Fair!

Keith brought five outstanding goats to the fair, three market goats and two breeding goats, and turned in one of the most impressive county fair performances our chapter has ever witnessed.

🥉 3rd Place Senior Showmanship
🏅 1st Place Lightweight - 5th Overall
🏅 1st Place Intermediate - Reserve Champion
🥇 1st Place Heavyweight - Grand Champion

To earn both the Grand Champion and Reserve Champion Market Goat titles in the same year is an incredible accomplishment and a testament to the countless hours of hard work, dedication, and care Keith has invested in his project.

Washington Leadership Confernce 2026 🇺🇸

June 16-20, members of Arickaree FFA and District IX traveled to Washington, D.C. to attend the National FFA Washington Leadership Conference (WLC). Throughout the week, members had the opportunity to meet FFA members from across the country, interact with government leaders, explore our nation's capital, and represent their chapters, communities, and the great state of Colorado.

📍 Day 1: Members checked in, met their roommates, and joined their WLC community groups.

📍 Day 2: Members began developing their Living to Serve (LTS) Plans and enjoyed an evening tour of several iconic Washington, D.C. monuments.

📍 Day 3: Members suited up in Official Dress and toured the U.S. Capitol and the Library of Congress. They also had the opportunity to meet Senator John Hickenlooper, watch a live interview featuring Senator Ted Cruz, and ask questions to the offices of Senator Michael Bennet and Representative Lauren Boebert.

📍 Day 4: Members participated in a community service project by packing meals, toured Arlington National Cemetery, took a water taxi from The Wharf to Alexandria, Virginia, and shared their final goodbyes with new friends from across the nation.

📍 Day 5: Time to head home with new friendships, leadership skills, and memories that will last a lifetime!
