I'd like to talk about a couple things. First, is this clip from my camera at the front door, which has a doorbell with a giant X on the doorbell button. I don't know why people think that they can just walk into my house anytime they feel like it. There was no knock. There was no doorbell ring. I think it is extremely rude and entitled to do this to somebody's house. Regardless of it being a bed and breakfast or not.
The other thing I'd like to talk about was, last week someone had emailed me and asked if they could do a tour of the house and I was totally fine with it and I said you have to come after 9:00 a.m. because I have guest breakfast and I don't like to disturb my guests when they're having breakfast. He emailed me late the night before and asked if he could come at 7:30 in the morning and I answered him and I told him no. He has to come after 9:00 because of guest breakfast. Well, this guy decided that it would be okay to ring my doorbell at 6:30 in the morning. I told him that it was extremely rude to ring my doorbell at 6:30 in the morning and to leave my property and never come back.
This is not the first time that either of these things have happened. And just know, that I have told people that have just walked in without knocking or ringing the doorbell to leave. I am not rewarding entitled behavior in my business and my home.
