Hello Golden Vista Residents,
I hope this letter finds you enjoying a fantastic start to July!
As many of you know, Jose has officially retired. While his retirement temporarily paused some of our summer projects, I am happy to announce that we have found an excellent replacement. Cesar will officially begin working at Golden Vista on July 20. He brings extensive maintenance experience from several 55+ communities. I have had the pleasure of working with Cesar in the past, and I know we are very fortunate to have him joining the Golden Vista team.
ACTIVITIES OFFICE:
Heather is currently working on processing and sending confirmations for all room reservations. The Activities Office receives more than 2,200 reservation requests each season, so entering them and sending confirmations takes time. This year, we are using a new reservation program to help eliminate some of the scheduling issues we experienced last season.
The Activities Office is also preparing for this season's concert ticket sales. Heather has booked an exciting lineup of performers! You can view the schedule and additional information on our website. Ticket sales will begin in early September, so stay tuned for more details.
NEW COMPUTER SYSTEM:
The new computer program we had planned to replace Engage (our resident portal) has been placed on hold until further notice. After careful consideration, we recognized the challenges of implementing a new system during the off-season when many residents are away. Instead, we will continue using our current Engage system. Brandon has spent considerable time improving Engage, making it more user-friendly and better tailored to meet the needs of our community.
PALM TREES:
Good news! Palm tree trimming is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 13. Please be mindful of the crew as they work throughout the community.
BILLIARDS ROOM:
The Billiards Room is scheduled to receive a fresh coat of paint along with new chairs. Painting is expected to begin within the next few weeks. We will send out a notice before work begins, as the room will be temporarily closed during the project.
APACHE ROOM:
Progress on the Apache Room was temporarily paused while we transitioned our maintenance department, but work will be resuming soon. I am confident the finished project will look fantastic.
LANDSCAPING:
Felipe has been busy repairing irrigation leaks throughout the community. While this is an ongoing project, his efforts are appreciated.
ASSESSMENTS:
A friendly reminder that quarterly assessments are now due. Please be sure to submit your payment if you have not already done so.
