๐ŸŒ€ Tropical Storm Update ๐ŸŒ€

Good morning, Seagrass RV Resort guests and friends!

We have been closely monitoring the weather since 4:00 AM after the tropical storm shifted and our area became part of the projected path. We are also under a Heat Advisory today, so please take a few minutes to prepare and stay weather aware.

Here are a few important reminders:
๐ŸŒด Secure outdoor furniture, grills, decorations, bicycles, and any loose items.
๐Ÿš Retract awnings and secure slide toppers.
๐Ÿ”‹ Charge your phones, flashlights, battery packs, and medical devices.
๐Ÿš— Avoid driving through standing water.
๐ŸŒง๏ธ Stay indoors during heavy rain, lightning, and strong winds whenever possible.
๐Ÿ’ง Stay hydrated and limit time outdoors due to the heat advisory.

Our team will continue monitoring conditions throughout the day and will share any important resort updates if needed.

Your safety is our top priority. Please continue to monitor the National Weather Service and your local weather sources for the latest information.

A small craft advisory is in effect north of Port Aransas this afternoon and tonight. Southerly winds around 20 knots and gusts around 30 knots are expected.

A hot day is in store for most of South Texas today. Heat index values will climb as high as 110-113ยฐF this afternoon, increasing the Heat Risk to Major (level 3 of 4). As such, a Heat Advisory has been issued for portions of the area. Make sure to hydrate and take plenty of AC/shade breaks if you plan to be outdoors.

4 AM Update: Tropical Storm Bertha continues moving westward toward the Texas coast. The storm will move inland later today. Showers and thunderstorms are expected for South Texas especially this evening and tonight. 1-3 inches of rain are possible south of a line from Victoria to Laredo.
