In my 7 years managing The Pelican, glad this has only happened twice… but the second time was today. A family showed up thinking they had rented the house but had paid scammers on a Craigslist ad. Please know I exclusively list on vrbo and anything else is fraud. I feel for the people that lost money and vacation plans falling for these scammers. 😢
