These kids doing campground life right! Exploring, playing tetherball and Co****le, painting rocks, climbing and running around, and apparently becoming bears! 🐻

This is what camping should look like when you’re a kid: outside, dirty shoes, big imaginations and lots of laughs.

There’s just something about winding your way into the mountains, watching the trees get taller and knowing a weekend of fresh air, campfires and slowing down is waiting at the other end.

This is the BEST Golden Pines traditions… painted rocks. 🪨🎨🌲

As I’m walking the park, cleaning sites and getting everything ready for the next round of campers, I keep finding these little pieces of art tucked into fire rings, beside trees, along paths and hidden in unexpected places.

Some have camping scenes. Some have rainbows. Some have sweet messages. Some are just wonderfully random. 😂

And then there’s the labyrinth. This little rock maze has apparently been part of Golden Pines for quite a while, with painted rocks woven throughout it and added over time by campers who’ve stayed here.

I love that people come here, make memories, and leave behind a tiny colorful piece of their trip for the next person to discover.

So… who’s coming to Golden Pines this weekend to add the next painted rock? 🎨🪨👇

This is the kind of thing that makes campground life so special. 💛🌲

While grown-ups are relaxing, kids are out exploring, creating, making friends, getting dirty, using their imaginations… and apparently building giant pencils. 😂✏️

Colton and Quinn made this Golden Pines pencil for us and I just about melted! 🥹

There’s something really special about seeing kids unplug, get outside, and turn a weekend in the woods into their own little adventure. And when they leave a little piece of that creativity behind for us? Even better.

This one is definitely getting a special place at Golden Pines. 💛

Thank you, Colton & Quinn. You made our whole weekend.

Your campground stay comes with a whole little mountain town attached. 🌲✨

We wandered through the Loggers Jubilee - and the museum was so cool! Highly recommend. We checked out the local craft fair, grabbed a drink at the Hinterhaus Distilling, and basically had the kind of small-town Saturday that makes you want to stay awhile.

Golden Pines makes a pretty great home base for all of it.

Well… That was a weekend at Golden Pines! 🌲🤎

We were FULLY BOOKED and I loved seeing pretty much every corner of this place being enjoyed.

🃏 The sweetest cribbage group took over the lodge for games, meals and plenty of shenanigans.
⛺ Our glamping tent got all cozied up and enjoyed.
🌲 The tent camping area was poppin’ with a big group.
🏡 A couple of fun gals made the Zen Cabin look so cozy I kinda wanted to move in!
🐐 AND WE HAD GOATS. Because apparently that’s a thing that happens at an RV park. 😂

There’s something pretty heartwarming about seeing this place completely full of people camping, laughing, playing games and making it their home for the weekend.

Looks like the pets got the memo… Golden Pines is the place to be this weekend! 🦮🐾🐶🐈😻

We LOVE seeing all the four-legged campers around the park. Big dogs, little dogs, fluffy dogs… and apparently one cat who refuses to be left out! 😹

🌲 BIG NEWS FROM GOLDEN PINES! 🌲

It’s official… Golden Pines RV Resort & Campground in Arnold, CA has new owners! 🎉

Meet Monica, Jas & JJ! 👋

We are SO excited for this next chapter and feel incredibly lucky to be taking over such a special place.

A huge thank you to Ben and Kayla for everything they’ve poured into Golden Pines over the years. They’ve created a place where families come back year after year, friendships are made, campfires are shared and a whole lot of memories have happened under these trees. ❤️

We already have approximately 947 ideas 😂, but we also know there is so much here that people already love. We’re excited to learn, listen, make some improvements along the way and keep making Golden Pines a place you can’t wait to come back to.

You’ll be seeing a lot more of us around the park, so please come say hi! We can’t wait to meet our longtime campers, welcome new ones and become part of this amazing Arnold community. 🌲🏕️

Camp Host Position Available

Spend your summer among the towering trees and beautiful lakes of Stanislaus NF! Golden Pines is a quiet, family-friendly campground in the Sierra Nevada Mountains serving RV and tent campers. We are looking for energetic Camp Hosts with great people skills for our summer season, April 1 - September 30. Hosts perform daily duties of running the campground ~13 days/month in exchange for site and utilities plus $1200/month per host/team. Basic duties include checking in & assisting campers, cleaning restrooms and cabins, nightly trash pickup.
