We need your help! We need your answers to some of the questions we get at the resort. We also have a few of our own that need to be answered.

1. Where is your favorite place to visit other than Fillenwarth while you are in Okoboji?
2. Where is your favorite place to watch/listen to live music?
3. What is your favorite "oddity" in Okoboji that you like to see? (i.e. goat island)
4. Where is your favorite place to eat in Okoboji?
5. What is your favorite boat ride while at Fillenwarth Beach?
6. What do you look forward to the most when coming to Fillenwarth Beach?

Lap swimming in West Lake clear waters? Yes, please!

Floating with a drink in your hand? Even better.

Our lakeside property allows our guests to access the water via sunning docks with ladders strategically placed for easy entry. Is there really anything better than a lake bath?

Looking to catch a big one? Don’t forget your fishing pole on your next trip! Our angler guests recommend fishing near our boat hoists as the fish LOVE to live there. Make a memory by having your son, daughter, grandchild, or great grandchild catch their first fish right off our docks.

Also, during our full season, be sure to catch our Kids’ Fishing Clinic on Tuesday mornings. We have a fishing pro come in to teach the basics and then put your skills to the test. It is one of our favorite activities of the week! Only offered during full season. The Iowa Guide service

Take a peek at our Indoor and Outdoor heated swimming pools! While you may have a larger, blue body of water in mind to swim in (the lake), these are perfect for little kiddos or someone who is looking to catch some rays on a windy day. Camp out on one of our lounge chairs and take in a little rest and relaxation.

Bringing your family to Fillenwarth Beach again and again, creates an experience that can be repeated for generations. Here is a testimonial from Heather. Our 28 foot racing E scow sailboat is sure to delight! Our sail captain and crew will help you aboard this wind powered boat and you will go along for a memorable ride.

*Not available for non-resort guests or for private rentals. This boat is weather-dependent and is not offered every day. Check with the office daily for hours.

Our Sun Runners are at the top of our list of ‘Fillenwarth Must-Dos’. When you stay with us, you are welcome to join us once daily on our 49 foot Sun Runner cruise boats. These are leisure cruises that slowly cruise West Lake Okoboji and serve a complimentary beverage or two (alcoholic for 21+), soda, cheese, crackers and peanuts. It is the perfect way to get out onto the beautiful blue water! These are complimentary for resort guests, once per day.

You have booked your stay, now what do you do while you are here? We have put together an example of a day in Okoboji. Everything is within walking distance from Fillenwarth, and includes some of our activities. (You could spend the whole day at the resort and not be bored!) This is an example of a ‘Saturday in Boji.’ It will be a day to remember for sure!
• Wake up with the sunrise
• Test your skills on our on ski boats
• Stop by the terrace room for arts and crafts
• Take a stroll down to Queens Court for a coffee at TOPOG and wander through the Farmer’s Market at the Park for local goods (Saturdays from Memorial Day to Labor Day)
• Stop in to the Koffee Kup for breakfast right off of Cottage Colony
• Make your way back to Fillenwarth for a history cruise
• Head down to Arnolds Park Amusement Park to ride the Legend Roller Coaster, Giant Ferris wheel, and make your way through the Tipsy House
• Make a pit stop at Boardwalk down on the pier at Arnolds Park for lunch
• Get tickets and hop aboard the Queen II for an excursion
• Stop at the Emporium to shop before heading back to Fillenwarth
• Catch the Million Dollar Home cruise at Fillenwarth
• Take a dip in the lake, and then join us on a Sun Runner cruise with complimentary drinks
• Regroup and clean up, then head down to Maxwell’s at the Queens Court for dinner
• Grab a treat at the Nutty Bar stand and relax on the pier
• Catch a live concert at Preservation Plaza
• Enjoy the after concert fireworks over West Lake Okoboji
• Drop by one of the many nightlife locations for a drink or to catch another live music act
• Stroll back to Fillenwarth and slide in your comfy bed and dream sweet dreams of doing it all again the next day
