We have been BUSY! Some may think, ‘you are closed, now what do you do all off season’? Well, let us tell you, there is A LOT of work done behind the scenes to close and reopen a resort!

Our staff have been diligently working to deep clean units, pull boats out of the water and plank by plank remove all of our docks.

Sweet dreams to our boats while they rest for the winter.

Our season officially came to an end on Sunday. We are infinitely grateful to all of those who chose to stay with us and made magical memories!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to our staff, vendors, contractors, etc for making this truly a ‘home away from home’ for so many guests.

Ding ding ding!!! Last call!

Anyone need one last trip to Fillenwarth before we close for the 2026 season? Make those calls today.

The early fall weather is our favorite and while you are here, you can visit the Clay County Fair just one county south of us. There is something for everyone to see! Then swing back to catch the last Sun Runner cruise of the season.

Our last night for rent will be Saturday, September 19th. Don’t miss out!

We need your help! We need your answers to some of the questions we get at the resort. We also have a few of our own that need to be answered.

1. Where is your favorite place to visit other than Fillenwarth while you are in Okoboji?
2. Where is your favorite place to watch/listen to live music?
3. What is your favorite "oddity" in Okoboji that you like to see? (i.e. goat island)
4. Where is your favorite place to eat in Okoboji?
5. What is your favorite boat ride while at Fillenwarth Beach?
6. What do you look forward to the most when coming to Fillenwarth Beach?

Looking to catch a big one? Don’t forget your fishing pole on your next trip! Our angler guests recommend fishing near our boat hoists as the fish LOVE to live there. Make a memory by having your son, daughter, grandchild, or great grandchild catch their first fish right off our docks.

Also, during our full season, be sure to catch our Kids’ Fishing Clinic on Tuesday mornings. We have a fishing pro come in to teach the basics and then put your skills to the test. It is one of our favorite activities of the week! Only offered during full season. The Iowa Guide service

Take a peek at our Indoor and Outdoor heated swimming pools! While you may have a larger, blue body of water in mind to swim in (the lake), these are perfect for little kiddos or someone who is looking to catch some rays on a windy day. Camp out on one of our lounge chairs and take in a little rest and relaxation.
