Nick Memphis Media contacted us about possibly hosting his dog photography retreat at 3B’s next year. While he’s still working out the details, we thought we’d share in case anyone is interested📸🐾⛰️

🏔️Blue Ridge Mountains Pet Photography Retreat

I am officially in the early planning stages for an exclusive, hands-on masterclass retreat in the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains around Asheville, NC (Spring 2027).

This isn’t just another weekend of taking pictures—we are combining dog photography with real-time canine behavior modification and training techniques. If you want to learn how to read a dog’s body language, predict their exact movements, and capture storytelling frames that stand out, this is for you.

The Details:
📍Location: Asheville, NC area (Private, high-acreage resort grounds)
🗓️ When: Spring 2027 (April or May weekdays)
👥 Size: Strictly limited to 6–8 spots to keep it hands-on
💰 Investment: $1,795 includes lodging and basic meals
🐾 Pet Policy: Fully dog-friendly! While flying in without a dog is 100% fine (we will get local model dogs lined up), you are absolutely welcome to bring your own pup to stay with you and act as a model for the group with some precautions.

What we’re working on:
-Live on-location shooting blocks with local model dogs & handlers (action, water, and deep forest work).
-Decoding canine behavior so you can anticipate the perfect frame before it happens.
-Narrative-driven image selection and my personal editing workflow.
-Private rooms & bathrooms
-Judgement-free collaboration with fellow dog lovers

You won’t understand the magic until you’re barefoot on the sheet moss covered fairy circle through the enchanted forest! 3B’s Inn and Retreat Space is 5+ acres of gated grounds that offer calming creeks, a 1-acre spring fed swimming pond, a little lovely labyrinth and plenty of space for your gathering… and that is just the beginning! 9 bathrooms and a 1 acre spring fed swimming pond in the Blue Ridge Mountains of WNC doesn’t hurt either.

Went to Dough House for the first time this morning. When I realized the vegan donuts were served hot out of the fryer, there was no waiting until we got home. Delicious! Bubbles enjoyed it too!🐾🍩
