Road trip worthy. 🚗

We are honored to announce that Haywood Park Hotel has been named one of the 2026 Top 25 Historic Hotels of America® Great American Road Trip Hotels!

From our beginnings as Asheville’s iconic Bon Marché department store to the historic hotel you know today, our building has been part of downtown Asheville’s story for more than a century.

We’re proud to represent Asheville on this year’s list and even prouder to keep welcoming travelers through our doors.

More room to unpack. More room to unwind. More room to make yourself at home.

At Haywood Park Hotel, our spacious suites give you a separate bedroom and plenty of living space to stretch out, settle in, and stay awhile. It’s the kind of room that feels less like a hotel and a little more like your own place in Asheville.

It's ✨Time Travel Tuesday✨ and we’re only traveling a few steps down Haywood Street.

In 1974, the Asheville Civic Center opened its doors, adding a new arena, exhibition hall, banquet hall and meeting spaces to a growing downtown Asheville. Over the decades, those walls have seen everything from concerts and conventions to basketball tournaments, family shows and some truly memorable nights in Asheville history.

Today, we know it as Harrah’s Cherokee Center – Asheville, and it’s still bringing the crowds to our corner of Haywood Street. From the Southern Conference Basketball Championships to Warren Haynes’ legendary Christmas Jam and plenty more throughout the year, more than 50 years later, the show is still going on right around the corner from Haywood Park Hotel.

Every stay at Haywood Park Hotel comes with a little history. Sitting proudly in our lobby is a beautifully restored Model A Ford, a nod to the building's past and a reminder of a time when getting here was part of the adventure. Stop by, snap a photo, and take in a piece of Asheville history.

✨Time Travel Tuesday✨

Just around the corner from Haywood Park Hotel sits one of Asheville's most recognizable landmarks: Grove Arcade.

Originally envisioned by developer E.W. Grove as "the most elegant building in America," Grove Arcade opened in 1929 as one of the country's earliest indoor shopping destinations. Over the years, it served as a bustling marketplace, a World War II military facility, and even home to the National Climatic Data Center before reopening to the public in 2002.

Today, it's once again filled with locally owned shops, restaurants, galleries, and businesses, making it the perfect stop for an afternoon stroll during your stay in downtown Asheville.
