Happy Birthday, Mount Rainier National Park!

On March 2, 1899, Mount Rainier National Park was established as a national park. Since time immemorial, this majestic mountain has inspired people to explore, to recreate, to connect with their heritage, and to preserve this iconic landscape. How does Mount Rainier inspire you?

Mount Rainier provides a great backdrop for many activities, even taking your dog for a walk! However, dogs are permitted ONLY in parking lots, campgrounds, and on paved roads, and must be leashed at all times. Pets are never allowed on trails, even in winter or when areas are covered in snow. Please follow these rules to protect the park's wilderness, wildlife, and other visitors.
