Introducing the new and returning culinary mind behind Alchemy, Chef Mike Stewart. A familiar face to many of our guests, Mike returns to lead the kitchen as Head Chef after years of helping shape Alchemy’s culinary identity as Sous Chef.
Mike began his culinary career at 18 while waiting tables at 38 Central, where helping with catering events first sparked his interest in the kitchen. After the restaurant closed, he spent time working in several sushi restaurants before collaborating with a number of talented local chefs throughout the Rogue Valley.
His five years at Larks became his unofficial culinary school, shaping both his technique and philosophy in the kitchen. Mike later had the opportunity to work under celebrity chef Ming Tsai at the Yellowstone Club, further refining his craft.
After serving as Alchemy’s Sous Chef for several years, Mike took a brief time away before returning to take the helm as Head Chef. With a natural knack for cooking and a deep passion for hospitality, he brings creativity, experience, and heart to every dish that leaves the kitchen. Photo credit:
