Today, we celebrate the heart, passion, and dedication behind the food that brings people together.

For the past two years, Chef Matthew Pirnie has poured his talent, creativity, and countless hours into transforming the culinary experience at Callahan’s Mountain Lodge. From creating menu after menu to continually pushing the boundaries of what our kitchen can offer, Matthew has gone above and beyond in his commitment to our restaurant, our guests, and his craft.

Behind every beautifully prepared dish are the early mornings, late nights, endless hours on his feet, and sacrifices that most guests never see. His dedication often means working long after the day should have ended, giving so much of himself to ensure our kitchen continues to deliver.

Today, we want to recognize not only the chef who creates the food you love, but also the person behind the apron — someone whose hard work, resilience, and passion deserve to be celebrated.

Matthew, thank you for your creativity, your leadership, your tireless dedication, and the countless hours you have invested in Callahan’s. Your work makes a difference, and today, we want you to know that it is seen and appreciated.

✨ Fish Puttanesca — Bold, savory flavors of turmeric play with our orzo pasta with a Mediterranean-inspired twist for those who love a dish with character.
