Now this is my kind of spring lake 💕

Not my usual kind of post, but yesterday was a pretty big day for me…I had my last chemotherapy treatment!

Last August I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. I had surgery in October and then started chemo in early December. It has been a rough road and I’m not finished yet as I will be starting radiation in a few weeks, but I’m finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

My reason for sharing is to encourage all you ladies out there to perform monthly self checks, go to the gynecologist (mine actually found the mass that I had missed), and get yearly mammograms when you should! You never think it can happen to you until it does.

I’m so thankful for my friends and family support through all of this. They will never understand how much it meant to me!!! I would especially like to thank my husband, Dave who has been amazing and my biggest supporter. I didn’t think I could love him more, but he has proven me wrong. I’m so blessed ❤️

Tree’s gone! 🌳 Should we still call it the Tree House?!? 🤪

This poor roof has definitely seen better days! Holes from the tree and branches were letting water in the house 😩

Handy hubby Dave ❤️ has been on the roof multiple times already:
Chain saw tree off of roof ✅
Snow removal ✅
Patch really big hole ✅
Snow removal again ✅
Assess other holes for repair this week ✅

Quite a project! Why did we buy this place? It’s in pretty rough shape and it’s not pretty at all…but it will be! We can see the potential ❤️

Here we go again! On December 10th, we closed on our next project that we are calling the “Tree House”. I think you’ll understand why when you look at the pictures 😉

The Walnut Beach Inn is a great place for hosting family vacations, reunions, or holidays! There is room for everyone since the house accommodates up to 11 people!

We are booked for Christmas, but don’t delay in booking a fun winter getaway or your Summer 2026 vacation! You can see Walnut Beach from the backyard as it’s just a short walk away!!
