A big bright full moon set the stage for our scary spooktacular Saturday night! There was no shortage of great costumes and awesome site decorations! All of our weekend guests contributed to the fun! All of the participation is greatly appreciated. Many people put a ton of work in for this event. The hard work does not go unnoticed. The week started with Carl, Oren and myself carving the path thru the woods to be able to change it up a little this year. The great weather made our work much easier this year on set up. Shannon did a great job making sure the clubhouse was set for the spooky kids party!! The costume contest was so hard to judge many great costumes!! Jeff Wiles and his crew made sure to scare everyone half to death (did hear a few I think I peed my pants comments!) Have to thank Jeff and his crew, Phil and Mona, Carl and Carol, Oren, Mike and Lianna, Adam and Darcy , Shannon and Ashley and several others that jumped in to help for making it all happen!
Seeing the smiles and hearing the stories is the best part. Leave any funny stories or your favorite part in the comments!

We are experiencing a power outage. It is effecting a large portion of The Ashtabula/Saybrook area. Estimated restoration is 11:00 am. There will be no phones during this time.

195 people +17 stops =a great day!! The 11th annual campground crawl kicked off Saturday at 3 pm. What a great day! Never ending laughs and creative drinks and snacks. We really appreciate everyone joining us for the day! And yes the tradition continues- Val took her nap around stop #12. We finished up the day with a wonderful taco/mexican bar provided by Guyreinos Deli & Catering. YUM!
There is no crawl without the great stops hosted by some of our wonderful campers! Thank you to all whom hosted! Lots of preparation goes into this event coming off a short week wasn’t easy. Shannon and I had a few late nights making shirts and preparing everything. Many thanks to all who participated and all the helpers!! Until next year…Cheers!!

Where do we start? After a rainy week leading up to Labor Day Mother Nature cooperated and gave us sunshine for the rest of the weekend. It was a full house! There was very little time that there was not a fun filled activity going on! The weekend started Saturday morning with an incredibly challenging scavenger hunt. Pam Ohler is the best at coming up with clues. Not long after the hunt was over everyone headed to the Golf Cart Rodeo!! So many laughs and challenges! The crew led by Phil & Mona Murphy do an absolutely incredible job designing and running this fun activity. The obstacle course is crazy!
Sunday we had not one but two Co****le tournaments! Great turn out and the competition keeps getting tougher every tournament. Sunday night was an absolute blast listening to No Such Luck band playing while we gathered around the campfire. Their original song “Hideaway” is the best, describes our little camp perfectly! Our very own Paul Wright is a very talented Drummer!
We can’t forget 3 evenings of fun filled bingo! It’s safe to say they love their bingo at Hideaway!
