We’re excited to introduce Kristin, the new Property Manager at Clementine’s Guest House!

Kristin has spent her life in, on, and around the ocean. She built a lifelong career as a fisheries conservation biologist and advocate for fishing communities. Originally from Hawaii, Kristin left the islands for graduate school and eventually spent 20 years in Kodiak, Alaska, working as a federal fisheries scientist before becoming both a fisherman and a fisherman’s wife.

Her journey along the Pacific has taken her up and down the coastline, and she has now lived in all five U.S. Pacific states. Along the way, she raised three children and now enjoys time with her two grandchildren.

Kristin recently made the move to Astoria, drawn by the vibrant community and the dynamic ecosystem at the mouth of the mighty Columbia River. She’s excited to welcome guests to Clementine’s and share her deep love of the Pacific Coast with everyone who visits.

If you see Kristin during your stay, be sure to say hello - she’s always happy to talk about the ocean, local wildlife, and the incredible coastal environment that makes Astoria such a special place.

There’s something magical about winter in Astoria.

Towering waves. Moody skies. Migrating gray whales passing along the coastline. This is the season when the Oregon Coast shows its wild, breathtaking side.

From Clementine’s Guest House, you’re perfectly positioned to explore Fort Stevens, Ecola State Park, and other scenic viewpoints for King Tides and whale watching. Then return to a cozy room, a warm drink, and the charm of our historic home.

Winter may be fierce along the coast—but it’s wonderfully cozy here.
