With such a rich history and culture, there's always something new to discover in Atlanta, which is why we love playing tourist in our own city. This National Tourism Day, we're heading (and outside our neighborhood) to highlight some Atlanta gems worthy of a visit.
🦢 The Swan House at Atlanta History Center: Architecture and history buffs will love wandering through Buckhead's Classical 100-year-old mansion built at the height of the Jazz Age surrounded by elegant gardens.
🖼️ High Museum of Art, Atlanta: A must-see cultural landmark in Midtown, it's the largest museum for visual art in the Southeast and features a diverse collection along with stunning architecture.
✊ The Sweet Auburn Historic District: Known as the heart of Black enterprise and the Civil Rights Movement where Dr. MLK Jr. was born and preached, visit The King Center, Auburn Avenue Research Library, Dr. King's birth home, and more.
🛍️ Ponce City Market: Located in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward, it offers a vibrant food hall with a variety of dining options, direct access to the BeltLine Trail, unique shops and boutiques, plus a rooftop amusement park.
🇺🇸 Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum: Set on 30+ acres of parkland with beautiful gardens and ponds, honor the late president and Georgia native with interactive exhibits, a replica of the Oval Office, and more about his legacy as a humanitarian.
