MEXICO BEACH, WE’RE BACK! 🌴☀️😍

It’s been a long time coming, and we can’t even begin to tell you how much this moment means to us.

First, THANK YOU. Thank you for your patience, your excitement, your encouragement, and for never forgetting about Toucan’s.

For the past several years, we’ve poured our hearts into bringing Toucan’s back to Mexico Beach. What started with years of planning, dreaming, and working through every little detail turned into a year of building, and most recently, a whirlwind of final approvals, menu decisions, finishing touches, and everything it takes to finally open these doors again.

It hasn’t been a quick or easy road, but we’ve put everything we have into making this happen. Because to us, Toucan’s has always been so much more than a restaurant. It’s a part of Mexico Beach. A place filled with memories, traditions, familiar faces, and a whole lot of heart.

And now, after all these years, we finally get to welcome you back. ❤️

Toucan’s is officially reopening to the public, and we’re celebrating the only way we know how! Join us for music, giveaways, good food, cold drinks, and plenty of fun as we bring a little piece of the heart and soul of Mexico Beach back to life.

We know you’ve waited a long time for this. So have we. And we can’t wait to see you walk through those doors.

Thank you to everyone who reached out after Hurricane Isaias! The properties did well; Island Bliss and Peace of Paradise were untouched while Don’t Worry Beach Happy needed a lot of clean up from debris and sand. But, I’m happy to say Don’t Worry Beach Happy is now back to normal and ready for the next guests! Pictures of Isaias destruction along with the cleaned up Don’t Worry Beach Happy 😎. Our thoughts are with our neighbors and speedy repairs!

Pier Update: By now you all know we have received our Army Corps permit, which was the last of the major hurdles on the permitting side of the project. As for FEMA, the project is in LPN (Large Project Notification), which is the final review and notification. The review part is now complete, so all that is left is the notification part of the project. We were told that will take about 2 weeks. At that point FEMA obligates the funds to the State of Florida, which handles disbursement to the City.
