💜 Posted • If you’ve listed to my podcast, it’s no secret I love the story of Alexander Hamilton, his son Alexander Daniel, and the physical legacy they have left in the city.

This home was built in the 1890s by Alexander D., and the Constitution described it as “one of the most beautiful and complete homes of any of the young men”. In 1949, their daughter Eunice was feted with over 100 socialites visiting the home within a two hour window.

Ella Ramsey Martin, who operated the Poro Beauty School on Auburn, said that her first class was inside the parlor here.
