The Innkeeper for The Peach House is responsible for a variety of duties. As innkeeper, you will meet and greet guests. Courteousness, knowledge of the local area, and excellent customer service skills are key. Our guests’ comfort and satisfaction are of the utmost importance, are there are number tasks that need to be performed for the guests’ benefit.
The innkeeper is required to treat guests with respect, showing great tact and restraint at times while handling reservations, greeting guests, cooking breakfasts, cleaning rooms, solving urgent maintenance requests, restocking the kitchen, rooms and break area, along with many other tasks.
Business acumen, excellent communication and great interpersonal skills, organizational skills and problem solving are all necessary attributes.
Responsibilities
• Checking in guests
• Maintaining accurate records of current and past guests
• Surveying the inn for cleanliness and maintenance issues
• Assisting with maintenance and cleaning as much as needed
• Cooking and serving breakfast
• Scheduling supplies deliveries
• Coordinating with laundry/linen services
• Cleaning and maintaining common areas
• Restocking amenities and supplies
• Taking reservations
• Answering phone calls and replying to emails
• Directing outsourced support personnel as needed.
• Networking within the industry
