Whether you choose an on site adventure or want us to bring the Maritime Museum to you, you can select an experience that fits your group’s size and age range. Our programs, which align with North Carolina standards, will keep your students engaged while exploring archaeology, marine animals, the area’s ecology and more.

🐢 Sea turtles aren’t just found along the beach. They can often be seen in our sounds, inlets, nearshore waters, estuaries, and the Intracoastal Waterway as they travel, feed, and surface to breathe.
Before you open the throttle, take a moment to:
✔️ Keep a lookout ahead of your boat.
✔️ Slow down if you spot a sea turtle or other wildlife.
✔️ Give them plenty of space to surface and continue their journey.
✔️ Secure your trash and fishing line so nothing ends up in the water.

Come out to the Civic Center tomorrow to celebrate America 250 Carteret County!
This is a free event honoring the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and Carteret County's extraordinary Revolutionary War history - that includes the final battle of the American Revolution fought along our coast.
There will be live reenactments, storytelling, hands-on children's activities, interactive exhibits, and more.
The Chamber looks forward to exhibiting at the event! We hope to see you there.
