We had a last minute cancellation for Memorial Day weekend! Cabin 7 sleeps 5 people with 2 queen beds, 1 twin rollaway bed. It has a fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee pot, satellite tv, bathroom with a shower. All linens provided. Outside there is a charcoal grill and around back there is a firepit pit and picnic table. Pretty neat!

Yesterday we asked if anyone knew what we were looking at and why the data would help us understand.

The answer is the otoliths of Largemouth Bass. An otolith, or "ear stone," is a calcium carbonate structure found in the inner ear of bony fish that functions in hearing and balance. They accumulate growth rings annually, like a tree, and this can tell us how old the fish was. From the age and growth data we can determine the population dynamics and health of the fishery.
