My time with Auburn Alpha Gams began while I was in high school and invited to Swampwater, which in those days was a party at the lake. Still have the T-shirt.
Fast-forward many many years later and I'm back in Auburn and my Alpha Gam times picked right back up.
My next-door neighbors are loveliest of girls. Which one of of the absolutely most divine sweet and gorgeous Emmalyne's parents own the house so it stays within the sorority year after year. Each change of the girls every two years is introduced to me and I meet your parents and assure them that I always have a watch on our circle of all the girls in that house. They are truly truly absolute delights. Last weekend they invited me over to see them in their dresses and meet escorts. Oh my interviewed to be sure they were worthy of these lovelies. They all passed as I expected, and then they wanted to take their photo with me. I told them I was flattered, but there was absolutely no way because I have been working in the garden all day and looked like a complete scratch off and they protested but I insisted absolutely love love love these girls later that evening I was at tumors corner celebrating Auburn's win over Michigan with the Auburn family, and I noted several of the girls escorts were wearing this Swampwater cap.
I immediately texted my girl Anna to say I know she had one of those for me. And she did.
I wore it to Publix for pregame prep and saw a pack of bros eyeballing me wearing the hat . I noted their envy, left them wondering, Why is this old man wearing that hat? I enjoyed it immensely.
Thank you current AGD for making me feel connected to the school and sorority I hold so dear.
