Update post

Due to the rising waters and more rain in the forecast the marina and flatland rv spots won’t open until next weekend.

The Halloween party will be Saturday November 1st. from 7-11. There will be a game or two and treat bags/table for the kids. I’ll also set up a table incase the big kids want to bring some treats too. Joe will be providing the music for the evening. See you then!

Aquapoolza Schedule

SATURDAY 8/23
noon - water slide opens and lunch is served
2:00 - build your own boat race
3:00 - team water bucket pass
4:00 - sponge run
5:00 - belly flop/cannonball competition $100 prize to winner

DETAILS

LITTLE BOAT RACE
- Think pinewood derby for boats, the rain gutter regatta.
- Boats will wind powered by you with the straw provided.
- Two racers at a time.
- Adults and kids race separately.

TEAM WATER BUCKET PASS
- Teams of 4.
- Put one full bucket of water in the grass and have one player sit right behind the bucket.
- Have the rest of the team sit in a straight line right behind the first player.
- Have the last person in the line turn and face the other way so the last two players are back to back instead of one after another.
- Put another either smaller bucket or a bucket with a marked halfway line in front of the last player.
Play:
- Give the first player an empty pail. They must dip the pail in the full bucket of water and pour it backwards over their head into the next persons pail.
- The second player must then pour it over to the third and so on until the final player on the team dumps the water in the pail into the empty bucket.
- Repeat until there is a winner.

SPONGE RUN
- Place a bucket full of water on one side of the yard and place an empty bucket on the other.
- Give a sponge to each player and have them stand by the full bucket or water.
Play:
- Players must dunk the sponge in the water trying to soak up as much water as possible.
- They then have to put the sponge on their head and without using their hands they run to the empty bucket, hoping to keep as much water as possible in the sponge.
- Wring out the sponge into the empty bucket and run back, continuing until someone reaches the mark on the empty bucket.

Belly Flop/ Cannon Ball Contest
- Will be judged by form, airtime, splash and commitment. Judges will be the audience.
- Kids will cannonball, prize to winner.
- Adults will belly flop, $100 cash prize to the winner

Aquapoolza is coming 8-23-25!

There are changes to the build your on boat race. Look up the rain gutter regatta, that’s what I’m going for this year. ALL boats will be powered by YOU through a straw that will be provided. We’ll run two at a time on a purpose built track. Details will be at the shelter.

Food will be provided. Pulled pork bbq, slaw and chips. As always byob.

The games will run the same with a couple new ones.

Bingo tomorrow, Saturday July 26th, at the shelter from 7pm to 10. $1 per game.

Pool was 92* yesterday, hard pass on that. Pumped out a couple thousand gallons and tossed the hose in. Will be cool and ready for the weekend.

Pool update
The pool won’t be open until next weekend. I’ve ordered some anti skid strips for the steps. Unfortunately I didn’t order enough and the rest didn’t show up today. The pool WILL be open next weekend and we’ll leave it open for the Gemini Jam.
