Situated just half a mile from the expansive Kentucky Lake, known as the "South's Great Lake" for its vast shoreline that rivals even that of Florida, our location provides unparalleled access to the natural beauty of the area. Additionally, as the closest lodging to Land Between the Lakes, a sprawling 170,000-acre national forest reserve, our guests have the opportunity to explore a diverse array of outdoor activities. From an extensive network of 500 miles of hike and bike trails to the adrenaline-pumping 2,500-acre Turkey Bay OHV area, as well as the historic 1850's Homeplace, the captivating Elk & Bison Prairie, and the chance for horseback riding at Wrangler's Stables, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Moreover, guests can take in the wonders of the Nature Station, gaze at the stars at the Planetarium, and gain insights at the Golden Pond Visitors' Center, ensuring a truly enriching and unforgettable experience.

If you're staying with us at Kentucky Lake Cottages and haven't made it over to Deaton's Cafe yet, you're missing out!

From fluffy pancakes and hearty country breakfasts to delicious lunch specials, it's one of our favorite local spots to grab a great meal. Friendly service, generous portions, and that hometown atmosphere make it well worth the trip.

We love supporting local businesses, and Deaton's is one we happily recommend to all of our guests.
