Hello Families of Austin Campground!
To start, as Greg and Darlene recently announced their hard earned retirement, I would like to introduce
my family to you all as their successors. We are the Tushar family, and move from Chester County
where we’ve lived for the past 18 years. My wife Linnette and I (Doug) have 4 young adult children; all
of whom have an abundance of skills and a surprising amount of experiences. We have just closed on the
purchase of the camp within the past week-ish; and we are feverishly working to bring our knowledge
and mastery over the processes developed by the Lauvers on-line and up to speed. We know you await
seasonal invoices, and this has our next priority after establishing the necessities to own/run the camp.
We intend to have them fully deployed within the next few days.
Our next priority will focus on ensuring all the hard work of Greg and Darlene (along with contributions
by several of our Campers) throughout the camp is continued and sustained consistently. To help
ensure this, our family will be partially and then fully relocating to the grounds starting “now”. Mason is
the new Operations Manager and is fully dedicated. He is an Eagle Scout with a wealth of experiences
from 6-7 years as a resident camp program Instructor/Director at our local Boy Scout Reservation, to
varied trade skills and wide retail and supervision experience. If you are visiting the camp in the off
season, it is likely you will meet him, if not several/all of us!
2 of our 3 daughters will also be participating and helping with the campground when they are not
otherwise occupied with their college studies. Brynna (3) and Lauren (4) are very close in age to Mason,
and share very similar skill sets and experiences Both also have years of resident camp staff experience,
and
Team Tushar is very grateful to Team Lauver for working so closely and openly with us throughout this
entire process. We are proud to “take the torch”, and will dedicate ourselves to the same high
standards our families have come to appreciate!
In closing- the standing rules, regulations and services will remain standing. We do intend to work
toward adding a couple new services for our campers up coming.
