Secrets Playa Esmeralda and Dreams Playa Esmeralda opened in July 2025, right next door to each other, in Miches, about 90 minutes north of Punta Cana.

Secrets is adults only. Five hundred suites. Three pools, one of them an infinity pool. Eleven restaurants, six bars.

Dreams is the family side. Also five hundred rooms and suites. Swim-out rooms on the ground floor. Connecting rooms. Four pools, a waterpark with slides, and clubs for kids three to twelve and for teens.

Here is the part that matters for a wedding group. They share a central plaza, and adults staying at Secrets can walk over and use the Dreams restaurants, bars and amenities.

So your cousins with three kids book Dreams. Your friends without kids book Secrets. Everybody is on the same beach, at the same dinner, on the same night.

And the beach itself is miles of open, undeveloped sand.
