If you aren't familiar with The Other Ones Foundation I hope you take a moment to learn more about their great programs, their great team, and all the remarkable work and support that they've already been doing here in Austin.

They are literally in the trenches day-in and day-out - making a profound difference in the lives of our fellow Austinites facing the seemingly insurmountable challenges of homelessness.
This incredible organization has already helped so many to get their feet back under them, their world back in order, to regain a path and place as a contributing member to our community.
As with all the projects I help with, I listened - a lot. I learned - a lot. And upon listening & learning so much about this challenging issue I was honored to help them bring to life a vision they had for this site, and one that I hope you take the time to learn more about, perhaps to even donate - whether with time or funds - in an effort to help them create not only a location for this community to feel safe, connected, and on a path to recovery - but also to help create a scalable model that can be introduced to the countless areas and communities that are in dire need of the same support.
Homelessness is not solved by just building houses. It is a multi-faceted issue, that requires a collaborative/comprehensive effort to bring not only the shelter, but also the support, and services, (and even the simplest items such as an ID) to those who have lost their support network and had their world crumble around them.
There is so much more to this issue than just building homes - and The Other Ones Foundation is doing some amazing work to help re-engage a community that is historically overlooked and abandoned - to help them regain some dignity and purpose while allowing them to get their world back together, and rejoin the rest of us as happy, healthy, contributing members of our beautiful community here in Austin.
Extremely grateful to all the partners and creatives who have come on board to help bring this together.
It truly takes a village, and incredibly excited to watch this one take shape.
