Hi — I'm Spencer, and I've never actually introduced myself on this page. Let's fix that.

I'm the founder of Stay For Awhile, a boutique short-term rental management company here in the Austin area.

Before this, I spent nine years at HomeAway and Vrbo, right here in Austin, working the supply side of the business. My job was managing relationships with professional vacation rental owners and operators — helping them fix underperforming listings, price smarter through slow seasons, and keep guests happy enough to come back. I sat with a lot of owners who were doing everything right and still leaving money on the table because nobody had shown them what to look at.

I started Stay For Awhile to do that work directly, for owners in my own backyard.

What that means in practice: I handle guest communication, dynamic pricing, cleaning and turnover coordination, and listing optimization for properties in Austin, Pflugerville, Round Rock, and the surrounding suburbs. I've lived in this area for over ten years. I know which neighborhoods draw the Kalahari crowd, which ones fill up on ACL weekend, and which ones are quietly better bets than the listings downtown.

I'm working with a small number of owners right now, on purpose. I'd rather do a few properties genuinely well than spread myself thin across dozens.
