🌟 We are proud to announce the Leatherstocking Council’s second Silver Beaver Recipient for 2026: Peter Steiner! 🌟

Peter has dedicated many years to Scouting as a past Council employee, a long‑time volunteer, and a valued member of our Camp Staff. From Troop 31 to our OA Lodge, from district committees to council‑level leadership, Peter has truly done it all. His roles have included Scoutmaster, Associate Lodge Adviser, and District Training Chair. He currently serves on many council committees, including Training, Advancement, Camping, and the Eagle Scout and Council Recognition Dinner Committee.

Peter also serves as the Council Marketing Chair, partnering with staff and volunteers to promote our programs through social media, the weekly e‑Newsletter, and the council website. In addition, he provides support for our event registration system.

If you’ve ever seen someone behind the camera at a Scouting event capturing photos and videos — that’s Peter, helping preserve our Scouting story.

🙌 Join us in congratulating Peter — one of the 2026 Leatherstocking Council’s Silver Beaver recipient at this year's Eagle Scout and Council Recognition Dinner on June 9th.
