🌊 Our beloved Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is getting a makeover! Engineers are hard at work repairing cracks, restoring historic metalwork, and adding fresh paint to America's tallest traditional lighthouse.

Did you know? They've discovered unexpected issues in the iron brackets supporting the observation deck, extending the renovation timeline to summer 2026!

While you can't climb those 257 steps right now, the grounds remain open for your perfect vacation photos. This iconic black-and-white spiral has been guiding mariners since 1870 and survived being moved 2,900 feet inland in 1999!
