For those of you who have sat on the porch and gazed across to beautiful Ragged Island, here is a bit of history about one of its former residents.

Monster Sunset at Mackerel Cove -

Well, we did it again! Another humongous sunset tonight in the skies above Maine. I ran down to Mackerel Cove, hoping to line up something unique, but getting totally overwhelmed by the magnitude of the sky show. I captured this view looking out over the cove while moving between locations that I thought would be more interesting, and this turned out to be my favorite shot. I hope some of you saw this!

We know this ship has already sailed, but we thought it would be neat to put into perspective the size of the Ever Given compared to a local landmark: the Cribstone Bridge in Harpswell.
