We are reintroducing Maisey and Oliver, and so far, she has been gentle, with just a little bit of bossy mama energy. 🫏🤎 Oliver isn’t quite sure what to think about all this sudden mothering, but watching them figure each other out has been such a beautiful sight.
After such a difficult beginning, seeing Maisey choose to be near him, correct him gently, and interact with him feels incredibly special. Oliver may be a little confused by the late arrival of his maternal supervision, but we’ll take every sweet moment we can get. ❤️

A little Oliver update! 🫏🤎

Oliver has officially doubled his weight! He started life at just 30 pounds and is now tipping the scales at around 60 pounds.

He LOVES people and is currently experimenting with whether he can control them through nipping, jumping on them, and general tiny-donkey intimidation. This is being frowned upon. But really, you can’t blame a guy for trying.

His mom has finally started taking an interest in him… and Oliver has now decided that she is annoying. 😂

He gets to play with the goats, spend time out in the corrals, and has discovered that alfalfa is VERY good.

And despite all of us who have fed him, loved him, worried over him, and waited on him hand and hoof, Oliver has made his preferences quite clear:

His favorite mom is Greg.

The rest of us are apparently just his playmates. 🤎🫏

His show is fascinating, wildly entertaining, and honestly a little unbelievable. For about an hour, Nick will pull you into his world of mentalism and mind reading, leaving you wondering, How in the world did he know that?! 🔮

On Thursday afternoon, K & N joined us to kick off their wedding weekend. 🤍

The couples who choose Glen Isle know they are embracing history. For a few days, they become part of the many layers of life and love that have filled this property for more than 125 years.

One by one, the cabins fill. The windows of the old lodge begin glowing with light. Laughter drifts across the property. We see friends who haven’t seen each other in far too long sitting together on porches, guests wandering down to visit our rescue animals, families gathering around tables, and people slowing down enough to simply enjoy being together.

And somewhere in the middle of all of it, two people get married.

Four days and three nights are a standard part of a Glen Isle wedding because we believe a wedding deserves more than a few hurried hours. The extra time gives everyone room to arrive, settle in, reconnect and make memories that have nothing to do with a timeline or a seating chart.

By the time the vows are exchanged, something has already happened here.

A group of people who arrived to celebrate two people have spent several days celebrating something much bigger: friendship, family, history, love and life.

And for a little while, Glen Isle gets to hold all of it. 🤍

Where is the loyalty?! I have the 3 a.m. feeding shift—the absolute worst wake-up job—and today Ollie decided Greg was his favorite. Snuggling, kissing, and loving all over him!

This weekend, a beautiful couple became the first to exchange vows at our brand-new ceremony site. ❤️

Our previous ceremony site suddenly had a house being built directly in the center of the altar view 🤦🏼‍♀️, so Greg did what Greg does—he found a solution.

He spent most of the summer designing and building an entirely new venue. It took countless hours of planning, problem-solving, hauling, building and hard work to transform a new piece of the property into a beautiful place for couples to begin their lives together.

We had some tricky Colorado weather to navigate during its first weekend, but it all came together. I’m incredibly proud of Greg and what he created. This weekend marked the beginning of a new chapter at Glen Isle—and the first of many love stories that will be celebrated in this very special place. ❤️

Okay, friends! Nick the Magician is absolutely someone you need to see! He does things that will leave you scratching your head and asking, “How is that even possible?!”
