Summer's calling...and we gotta say, it sounds pretty incredible—especially for fans of Creek Music Performance Center. Tickets for their 2026 season are currently on sale!

Birch Creek's James N. Dutton Concert Barn is home to over 30 live concerts from June through August, featuring percussion, steel pan and world music, symphony and big band jazz. Concerts feature student music before the main performances by internationally-renowed faculty musicans and Birch Creek's advanced academy students.

Can't catch their performances at their concert barn? Students and faculty also present over 30 outreach concerts in various places around Door County during the summer as well.

Door County isn’t just a place on a map; it’s a collection of the people who lived its history. To mark its 100th anniversary, the Door County Historical Society (DCHS) is launching an effort to ensure those stories aren’t lost to time—but they need the public’s help to find them. The Centennial Multigenerational History Project aims to select exactly 100 residents to represent the spirit of the peninsula.

The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is asking for the public’s help in wake of unprecedented intake of animals, especially surrendered cats in recent days. On Friday alone, 121 cats and kittens came in as surrenders or strays across their locations. An unexpected surrender of 47 cats and kittens from a single home on Friday night at the WHS Milwaukee Campus resulted in the need to set up emergency housing in office spaces.

We ordered the most incredible food for New Years Eve from Ohana Hospitality—it was amazing! Everyone was in love with Gretchen and Robby’s food! My sister in law from Korea was raving about the beet greens salad, my husband and his brothers carved the meat and ate half of it while carving because they “couldn’t help themselves”, and the tandoori chicken and sweet chili herb sauce was heavenly. Thank you Ohana Hospitality so much! You helped to make our NYE family party very special. Best meal we’ve ever had in Door County❤️
