Sunday June 7, at the BHCA Farmer's Market on Cty. F customer requests for Turtle and Traditional Jewish Coffee Cakes and Door County Cherry Scones will be fulfilled. I will have the usual compliment of customer favorites including Nutty Buddies. Nectarine pies in 2-crust and custard style w/crumb top along with cherry, rhubarb 2-crust and custard style w/ streusel will be available as well. I plan on fulfilling the requests for soft pretzels next Sunday. Both raw fresh, raw frozen, canned kraut, Oriental style Diakon SS gingered Radishes, smoked whitefish dips and ,more will be on hand.

I can hear the rain falling as I write, and it is a welcomed sound - keep the garden vegetables and peppers happy.

The photo is of the wild ramps that grow here on the farm that we use in value added products myself and Mister Burns make. Stop out and check us out on the Sunday farm tours from 4-8 p.m here on Grove Rd.

Just a reminder - Myself and Mister Burns will be at the Baileys Harbor, Door County Farmers Market Sunday May 31 from 9-1 featuring our farm products, scratch bakery, novelty items and much more. It's been a busy week on the farm but the cool weather at night is appreciated. Thanks to all who patronize us. The Baileys Harbor Farmers Market is on the move. Memorial Day Sunday morning 9-1, we will be located alongCounty F by the Cornerstone Pub to School Lane till the new sod at the BH Town Hall grows in. In the mean time I will have more rhubarb and other selections of scratch made pies, kringles, danish, stuffed croissants, nutty buddies, cookies, Daikon Radish and other fridge pickles and of course, our sauerkraut.

RAW FRESH PLAIN SAUERKRAUT IS AVAILABLE AGAIN as well as the raw frozen kraut in regular and spicy, and canned plain kraut for the day.

Remember, our farm tours start this week at our home location from 4-8 p.m. and each week we plan to feature a "farm teaching session".

Mister Burns LLC is at Maifest this Saturday and Sunday set up selling in Erskine Park. Stop in and see him and enjoy the festivities in Jacksonport.

The Baileys Harbor Farmers Market kicks off the season this Sunday May 17th at 9 a.m. The location is still by/near the Town Hall but shuffled a bit to the north on both sides of Park Street. We now have canned sauerkraut in plain and spicy in addition to our raw frozen sauerkrauts. DC Kraut and Mister Burns are located adjacent to Park Street. Some menu items are Stuffed Croissants, Austrian Kringles, Diamond Danish, Pecan Sticky & Cinnamon Buns, Custard Style Rhubarb or Cherry pies, regular Rhubarb and Apple Streusel pies, tarts and Marie Antionette's - a Chocolate covered Raspberry Bavarian crème North Bay Napoleon and much more will be for sale.

Our farm facility tours begin the 4th Sunday in May from 4-8 p.m. after we return from market in Baileys Harbor, Door County.

It's calming working in the field/woods despite noise from chain saws, skid steer and dragging multiple full sized trees to be brushed. Peeling bark qnd listening nature around you. The fence posts will be useful as well as artistic - not your normal 4x4 boring fence. A lot more work to do, but if you love what you do - you'll never work another day in your life.

I'll be glad when the snow clearing from the 3 day storm is finished. Lots of quality time and new techniques were learned by me in dealing with deep snow. It's nice to have the "Little Cat that Could" in finding the drives and paths to here and there. A once in a lifetime storm - at least I hope so in my lifetime. Previous big storms were not nearly as deep.

Cheers to WI Public Service and the Highway Crews that made sure power stayed on or was repaired expediently, and for the DC Highway Dept. for blazing a path so our road residents could get out safely once the main roads were cleared for travel.

You all stay warm, dry and safe.
