*Bald K**b, Arkansas, located 7 miles south. Restaurants include: the famous Who Dats Cajun restaurant where the fried shrimp and seafood is mouth watering. The Bald K**b Bulldog is also famous for their homemade strawberry shortcake. Other restaurants include the Hob-Nob and Market Cafe, Mexican,Subway, McDonalds and Taco Bell.
*Searcy, Arkansas, located 17 miles southwest and is a designated viewing site for the solar eclipse. Restaurants include Chilis, Rib Crib, Colton’s Steak House, Docs grill and many more. There are also other fun activities such as a movie theater, roller skating, swimming, and city parks which include walking tracks and pickle ball courts. Searcy is also the home of Harding University where an astronaut will provide a special presentation on Monday evening.
For those who enjoy a day of shopping you will find many local small businesses as well as famous name brand stores. A few of these include Old Navy, TJ Maxx, Hobby Lobby, Ulta, JC Penny, Walmart, Harbor Freight, Atwood’s and many more.
*Batesville, Arkansas, located just 28 miles north is an exciting historic town. It is the home of NASCAR driver Mark Martin and has a great museum showcasing his racing career and his race cars. Restaurants include Colton’s Steak House, Pizza Hut, and many more. Located just 10 miles south is Tadpoles seafood buffet which is a very popular to grab a bite to eat.
The Batesville speedway, where Mark Martin began his career, is also a great attraction for family fun entertainment. Batesville also provides a variety of shopping experiences. Stores include TJ Maxx, Walmart, Catos, and many more.
