There is still time to attend Historian Paulaā€™s History, Heritage, and Culture of Appalachiaā€ series. October 3rd 4-6. Paula will be giving a presentation about loom houses, the importance of bees to our region, and food preservation processes. Specifically, Paula will focus on spinning, dyeing, and weaving, bee gums and bee trees (which will teach you a bit about the name behind our ā€œBee Tree Sunroomā€), and can houses and root cellars! Paula will also be leading a craft after the presentation, and guests are welcome to enjoy light refreshments and a surprise autumn treat! Tickets are $14.99. https://www.simpletix.com/e/history-heritage-and-culture-of-appalachia-tickets-295048 we will also be offering a chefā€™s special of pinto beans, corn bread, and a slice of onion as part of our bar food menu which will be served from 6-8:30pm.
