Local spotlight! Oconaluftee Visitor Center is a beautiful and unique spot to visit while in WNC and staying at the inn! Just a 37 minute drive away step back in time and see how mountain people used to live. This park is also right at the great Smokey mountains parkway. Historian Paula is planning another history lesson for adults that will feature pictures from the Oconaluftee Visitor Center so here is a sneak peek into that! Stay tuned for more details to come

We have a new nature walking path at the inn! Enjoy a half mile stroll up the mountain to a spot where you can sit back and view the Inn and the mountains. Along the way you may run into a turtle (or other wildlife) just like this one as spotted the other day!
